It seems that even Jon Stewart is at a loss for words following the latest Grand Jury Travesty.

His brevity speaks volumes, and scares the shit out of me. If such a voice is at a loss for words, is it any wonder that as a collective, we are finding it difficult to find our common footing on how to proceed. He will regroup and regain his voice, but his is only one.

The President has spoken repeatedly, forcefully... The Attorney General/DOJ i stepping up to the plate in unprecedented fashion. People are taking to the streets all across the country in protests that are overwhelmingly peaceful. One Black comedian speaks the truth and is praised, (Chris Rock), while another 'prominent' voice, (well, opinionated anyway), in the Community takes the Appeasement Path toward white folk and is quite rightly soundly routed, (Charles Barkley). Rev Sharpton has called for a March on Washington next month. Great idea... But who would be the Keynote Speaker? Where is our Dr King, our Malcolm X, our Nelson Mandela, our Malala Yousefshai (sp)? Where is our Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Harry Belafonte, or Jme Baldwin? Our H. Rap Brown, Stokley Carmichael, Angela Davis? A Barbra Jordan, or a Shirley Chisholm? Where are the would-be presidential contenders and other politicians? Where is Hollywood? Where is Bill Gates? Where is Mark Zuckerberg? Can someone unite us? Do we even need a Uniter? Is there a fearless man or woman with a megaphone, not afraid for his/her life, with the ability to galvanize us? We are ready, the time is now. The situation in America has become beyond untenable, we are falling apart at the seams. We must continue to find ways at the grass-roots level to stay motivated and active, sowing fertile ground where new and powerful leadership can spring from.
